Artist's Comments
For a Royal Bank Scholarship I had to submit something that I was proud of. I wanted to put in something that would show myself as a designer, but at the same time have it be something that professionals would like. I came up with this.
It's a 8 piece collection, for spring/summer and is designed for today's Canadian young professional women. It would be designed to be affordable and comfortable while maintaining fashion with functionality.
I am really happy with how this turned out, but the pictures do it no justice, all of the colours were wiped out. My colour pallet was spring inspired purples, yellows, pinks and blues, toned down with greys. Knits, florals, stripes and full skirts/shirts are the base of this collection.
Even if I don't win the scholarship, it was a fun task.
